well, here we go – if you haven’t yet tried googlemail, I suggest you do because it knocks spots off any other webmail system. Quite apart from handling messages as conversations, rather than in a folder system, quite apart from having integrated chat and quite apart from its speed – it is also a long way down the line of undermining the pc-based application. If anyone sends me an email with a Word document or an Excel spreadsheet, I now have the option of opening them as googledocs. That means I store them remotely, can open them from anywhere that I have browser access, can publish them with a unique URL, open them to others so that they can collaborate on editing. And it’s free.
Awesome.
